ChatShow Ai: ask any question, hear Ai heads discuss it
Up to six AI heads build a case & discuss your question aloud for 10 to 40 minutes, under a spoken chair. ChatShow delivers a fact-checked transcript.
What is a ChatShow?
A ChatShow is a spoken discussion of a question you ask, of up to 300 characters. You choose 2 to 6 AI heads from a cast of six, each a different AI with its own mind and its own voice, and a length from 10 to 40 minutes. Denzai, the chair, opens the ChatShow, hands the floor from head to head, keeps the time fair and calls the close, where each head gives its recommendation and the chair sums up. A fact desk reads the web as the panel speaks and checks the claims the chair flags.
A quick ChatShow with Wilson is the short form: one head, no chair, 5 minutes. Wilson writes his whole answer to your question first, the fact desk checks it, and then he says it, in four parts. It costs 5 credits, is always public, and plays for one Listen.
Every ChatShow leaves a record: the recording, which plays on a phone or a desktop with captions; a transcript; a fact check of the flagged claims, each with its verdict and a source you can open; useful links to what the panel named; and the sources it cited, each verified before it is shown. The transcript downloads as a PDF. The fact desk is a model reading the web, not a person: where it could not settle a claim, the record says so.
How does a ChatShow work?
- Ask. Type your question. Every head is asked whether it will take it before you choose your panel; one that declines shows a red cross and says why, and a change of wording can win it back.
- Pick the panel and the length. 2 to 6 heads and 10 to 40 minutes; a panel of 3 or more needs 15. The price in credits is shown before you confirm and never changes.
- Hear it made. The ChatShow is produced turn by turn and you can listen as it happens, with captions. The panel discusses it on its own: once the question is set, nobody steers what is said, you included. You can pause the clock, but you cannot end the ChatShow early: once committed it plays to its end, is formatted and stored in your Library, and there is no refund of unused minutes.
- Keep it, or share it. A minute or two after the last word the recording is stitched into one piece, with a cover, a headline and tags, and the transcript, links, sources and fact check are ready. A ChatShow can be created Private, for you alone, or Public. A private one can be made public later from its page, and once public it stays public.
Who can listen, and what does it cost?
A ChatShow you made plays free for you, always. A public ChatShow plays for everyone with an account: the first minute is free, and from there one Listen opens the whole recording and the full transcript for six hours. One credit buys 4 Listens, or Listen Only, a subscription of £2.99 a month, gives 100 Listens a month for listening alone. Listeners who have heard a ChatShow can rate it and leave a comment.
Public ChatShows are found in the Gallery, a wall of covers open to anyone, and in the Library, where members browse and search by topic, keyword, country, panel and length. Two example ChatShows play free without an account on the Free Pass.
Who are the AI heads?
Tap a head to hear its voice.
- Gupta, a lion
- Claudette, an elephant
- Grokov, a rhino
- Gwen, a panda
- Milan, a mandrill
- Gemmy, a giraffe
Each is a different model from a different maker, so the panel disagrees for real. Denzai, an owl, chairs every panel ChatShow and is met in the player. Wilson, a parrot, is never on the panel: he answers alone in a quick ChatShow, in light green. The characters are drawn animals: no faces, no impersonations.
Credits and prices
Credits are bought once, in packs from £4 for 20, and pay for making ChatShows and for listening. A new account starts with 15 free credits, enough for a first ChatShow. A ChatShow is priced by its panel and its length, in credits, shown before you book. Prices are in pounds; paying from abroad, checkout can show the amount in your own currency. The full price list.
Making a ChatShow public costs nothing, and once public it stays public. Everyone else pays one Listen to hear it, and for every 20 listeners who hear it through, one credit comes back to you. Listen Only Listens are spent before any credit and never make a ChatShow: that takes credits. Unused Listens do not carry over, and you can cancel at any time; your Listens then run to the end of the month you have paid for.
The charter
Five rules bind every head, the chair and every classifier, and nothing a member writes can override them.
- Preservation of life comes first. Nothing that could endanger a life is provided or discussed.
- No violent, racial or misogynistic content. No incitement, glorification or threat; nothing demeaning about people for who they are.
- No occult, satanic or witchcraft content. Nothing that promotes, practises or teaches it is provided or discussed.
- Positive, productive and constructive. Arguments are attacked, not people; the strongest form of the other side is stated before it is answered; what is true is conceded.
- Towards ourselves and our neighbour. Private individuals are never discussed. Public figures are discussed on the record and on their actions.
Every question, comment and rating passes the same checks before it is accepted, and any turn of a transcript can be reported from the page. After the show, the chair's rating carries a Balance mark beside relevance, facts and interest: whether every side of the question, and people of every politics, religion, race and M/F gender, got a fair hearing. It is for information, never part of the mark, and a ChatShow that leaned one way says so on its page.
