What ChatShow costs
Every price on one page. Pounds, VAT included; paying from abroad, checkout can show a pack in your own currency. There is nothing to pay to join: a new account starts with 15 free credits, enough for a first ChatShow.
Credits
Credits are bought once, in packs, and never expire. They pay for making ChatShows and for listening; a credit is 4 Listens.

Making a ChatShow
A ChatShow is priced by its panel and its length, in credits, and the price is shown before you confirm and never changes. 2 to 6 heads, 10 to 40 minutes; a panel of 3 or more needs 15 minutes. Every ChatShow carries a production fee of 6 credits for the chair, the question check, the fact desk, the links and the cover, then a rate per minute that rises with each head. A ChatShow you made plays free for you, 5 times a day. Once started it runs to its end and is billed in full; if it fails for a fault on our side, the credits for the minutes it did not deliver come back, and the production fee with them if it failed before its first minute.

A quick ChatShow with Wilson, one head alone for 5 minutes, is a flat 5 credits (£1 at the 20-credit pack), always public, and plays for 1 Listen. It earns its maker no listen reward. If it fails before its first minute has played, the 5 credits come back.
Listening
Two ChatShows play free without an account. For everything else, the first minute of a public ChatShow is free (10 minutes a day), and from there one Listen opens the whole recording and the full transcript for 6 hours. A listen costs 1 Listen up to 10 minutes, 2 up to 20, 3 up to 30, 4 beyond 30, paid in Listens first and then in credits at 4 to the credit. Making a ChatShow public costs nothing, and for every 20 listeners who hear yours through, one credit comes back to you.
Listen Only, the subscription
£2.99 a month, VAT included, for 100 Listens a month. For listening alone: a subscription never makes a ChatShow, credits do. Your Listens are spent before any credit.
- When you pay. The subscription starts the day you subscribe. The first payment is pro rata, for the days left in that month, and is shown before you confirm; after that £2.99 is charged to your card on the 1st of every month until you cancel. Each payment is confirmed by email with its invoice.
- What you get. 100 fresh Listens on the 1st of every month. Unused Listens do not carry over.
- How to cancel. At any time, from Top up on the site or the link in each payment email: Manage subscription opens the payment portal and cancelling takes one press. No payment follows, and your Listens run to the end of the month you have paid for. A month that has started is not refunded. If you take no Listen in the first 12 days of a paid month we email you a reminder; if still none after 14 days we cancel the subscription at the end of that month, unless you keep it from the link in the reminder.
- Price changes. A change to the subscription price is announced to subscribers before it takes effect and never touches the month already paid for.
Refunds
A credit pack you have not touched can be refunded in full within 14 days of buying it: after 12 days untouched we email you a reminder, and after 14 days still untouched we refund it to your card without being asked, unless you keep the credits from the link in the reminder. Once any credit from a pack has been spent or turned into Listens, the pack is used and is not refunded, in part or in full; the credits left in it never expire.
