The terms of using ChatShow Ai

Plain words on what you get, what it costs, what you may ask, and what we do when something is reported. By creating an account or using the site you agree to them.

Last updated 1 November 2026. In these terms "we" and "us" mean the business named in section 1, and "you" means the person using ChatShow.

1. Who we are and how to reach us

ChatShow Ai is run by M Jackson, trading as 4digits, Harlow Enterprise Hub, Edinburgh Way, Harlow, CM20 2NQ. That is also our postal address, and our email address is support@4digits.io.

Members write to us from the envelope in the corner of the site, which opens the Contact page; a reply goes to the email address you give there. Our emails to you come from an address that takes no replies, and every one points you back to the Contact page. If you are not a member, write to the email or postal address above.

2. What ChatShow is

ChatShow makes spoken discussions. You ask a question, choose a panel of AI heads and a length, and the panel discusses the question aloud under a spoken chair. The result is a ChatShow: a recording, a transcript, a fact check of the claims the chair flagged, and the links and sources the panel named. A fact desk reads the web as the panel speaks and checks those claims; where it could not settle one, the record says so.

Everything the AI heads, the chair and the fact desk say is generated by AI in answer to the question a member asked. We build every ChatShow with checks meant to keep it honest and within our rules: the question is checked before the panel hears it, the fact desk checks the claims the chair flags, and the rating says whether the discussion leaned one way. Those checks make a ChatShow better informed; they do not make it right. A ChatShow is a contribution to the discussion its question opens, not a conclusive or definitive answer to it, and a claim made in one can be wrong even when the fact desk did not catch it. It is entertainment and a way to hear a question discussed from several sides. It is not advice of any kind, not legal, medical, financial or otherwise. Check anything you intend to act on: what you do with a ChatShow is your decision and your responsibility.

What a ChatShow sounds like depends on the AI models behind it. Each AI head, the chair, the fact desk, the voices and the cover are powered by models from the world's leading AI companies, chosen by us for the part each plays. Those models are theirs, not ours: how well a panel reasons, how accurate it is and how natural it sounds is set by what those models can do on the day, and it improves as they do. We choose and tune the models; we do not control what they say, and two ChatShows on the same question will differ.

After every ChatShow the chair's read marks whether the discussion leaned one way on the question, or on race, religion, politics or M/F gender; where it did, the rating says so in a line. That line is a note for the listener, not a finding about anyone, and it changes nothing else: not the mark, not the price, not the ChatShow's standing. Before the show the producer lists the sides a fair hearing must voice, and a question written to assert its own answer is put to the panel fairly as well as in your words.

If a ChatShow you made falls short of what you expected, tell us: report it from its transcript page, as section 8 describes, and say what disappointed you. Every report is read by a person and shapes what we change. A ChatShow that ran to its end is a ChatShow made and paid for, as section 5 says; a report of a disappointing one is not a refund request.

3. Your account

  • You must be at least 18 to hold an account or buy anything on ChatShow, and you confirm that you are when you create your account.
  • One account per person, used by that person alone. An account may be signed in on up to 3 devices; a further sign-in signs the oldest out. A shared login is not a free channel: an owner may start their own ChatShow at most 5 times a day.
  • You choose a username, and it is how you appear to others on anything you post. It must not impersonate a person or a business and must pass the same word check as everything else you write.
  • Keep your sign-in to yourself. What is done from your account is treated as done by you until you tell us otherwise.
  • You may close your account at any time from your account settings. We may close or suspend an account that breaks these terms, after telling you why, except where telling you first would defeat the purpose (for instance fraud or a danger to someone).

4. Credits, Listens and prices

Credits pay for making ChatShows and for listening. A new account starts with 15 free credits. Credits are bought in packs, priced in pounds including VAT, and the price of every pack and of every ChatShow is shown before you confirm. Credits never expire. A ChatShow is priced by its panel and its length, and that price never changes once it is booked. An account holds at most 515 credits; a purchase that would pass that is refused at checkout.

A ChatShow you made plays free for you, always. A public ChatShow costs everyone else a price in Listens set by its length when it was made: up to 10 minutes 1 Listen, up to 20 minutes 2 Listens, up to 30 minutes 3 Listens, and up to 40 minutes 4 Listens; a ChatShow made before 7 October 2026 costs one Listen. The price is shown before you play. The first minute is free, and from there the Listens open the whole recording and the full transcript for 6 hours; after that a replay charges again. When you hold fewer listens than the price, just enough credits become 4 Listens each to cover it.

Listen Only is a subscription of £2.99 a month including VAT, billed on the first of the month, for 100 Listens a month spent on listening alone and before any credit. The first month is charged for the days left in it. Unused Listens do not carry over, and a subscription never makes a ChatShow. You can cancel at any time from Top up, where Manage subscription opens the payment portal; your Listens then run to the end of the month you have paid for.

Payments are taken by Stripe. Paying from abroad, checkout may show the amount in your own currency with a conversion fee that Stripe states before you pay. Credits and Listens have no cash value, cannot be transferred to another account, and are not money held for you.

For every 20 listeners who hear a ChatShow you made through to the end, one credit comes back to you. Each listener counts once per ChatShow, and only listeners with an account that has ever bought a pack or a subscription count. The reward is paid in credits, never in cash.

We may change prices. A change never touches a ChatShow already booked, credits already bought, or the current month of a subscription, and a change to the subscription price is announced to subscribers before it takes effect.

5. Cancelling and refunds

Nothing here takes away the rights the law gives you as a consumer, including under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.

  • A credit pack you have not touched. You have 14 days from the purchase to change your mind and have it refunded in full, as long as no credit from it has been spent. If after 12 days you have made no ChatShow and turned no credit into Listens, we email you to say so; if the pack is still untouched after 14 days we refund it to the card you paid with and the credits leave your account, unless you have chosen to keep them from the link in that email. You can also ask for the refund sooner from the Contact page. A pack is untouched only while no credit from it has been spent or turned into Listens.
  • A pack you have started to use. Once any credit from a pack has been spent on a ChatShow or turned into Listens, the pack is used: the 14 days to cancel it have ended, and neither the pack nor the credits left in it are refunded. Those credits stay in your account and never expire. Free credits, earned credits and credits already spent are never refundable.
  • A ChatShow. Making a ChatShow spends credits as the show is made, and you can hear it being made. Once it has started it runs to its end, and a ChatShow that reaches its end is billed in full, however you feel about it. If a ChatShow fails for a fault on our side, the credits for the minutes it did not deliver are returned, and the production fee with them if it failed before its first minute played. A quick ChatShow with Wilson is a flat 5 credits, always public and without the listen reward; its credits come back only if it fails before its first minute has played.
  • Listen Only. The subscription starts the day you subscribe, with your agreement to that start, and the first payment is pro rata for the days left in the month. You can cancel at any time from Top up or the link in each payment email: no further payment is taken and the Listens you have paid for run to the end of the month. If you have taken no Listen 12 days into a paid month we email you to say so; if still none has been taken after 14 days we cancel the subscription at the end of that month, unless you have chosen to keep it from the link in that email, and your Listens run to the month's end. A month that has started is not refunded.
  • A ChatShow removed after a report. The credits spent on a ChatShow that we remove for breaking these terms are not refunded.

To ask for a refund, write to us from the Contact page with your username and what you want refunded. A refund goes back to the card or method you paid with, at the rate you paid, and we aim to deal with it within 14 days of your request. The credits a refund covers leave your account when it is made.

6. What you may ask, say and post

Five rules bind every head, the chair and every check the site runs, and they bind what you write too: your questions, your comments, your ratings and your username.

  • Preservation of life comes first. Nothing that could endanger a life is provided or discussed.
  • No violent, racial or misogynistic content. No incitement, glorification or threat; nothing demeaning about people for who they are.
  • No occult, satanic or witchcraft content. Nothing that promotes, practises or teaches it is provided or discussed.
  • Positive, productive and constructive. Arguments are attacked, not people.
  • Towards ourselves and our neighbour. Private individuals are never discussed. Public figures are discussed on the record and on their actions.

You must also not use ChatShow to break the law or infringe anyone's rights; to post spam or advertising; to harass or impersonate anyone; or to probe, overload or interfere with the site. A question or comment that fails the checks is refused with a reason, and a change of wording can win it back. A head may decline a question and say why.

If what you write suggests that you or someone else may be at risk, the site stops treating it as content and shows you where to find help instead.

7. Who owns a ChatShow

A ChatShow you make is yours to keep and share, with its recording, transcript and sources, and the transcript downloads as a PDF. Your question stays yours. You give us a licence to produce the ChatShow from it, to store it, to voice it, to play it to you and, once you make it public, to everyone, with or without an account, the first minute free and the rest at its price in Listens; and to show its cover, title, tags and summary in the Gallery, the Library and on its public page. The licence lasts as long as the ChatShow is on the site.

Making a ChatShow public costs nothing, and once public it stays public: other members may have paid to hear it, so it cannot be made private again. You may still ask us to remove it, and we will unless a dispute or a legal duty requires us to keep it.

A public ChatShow's page credits you as its producer by your username. Anyone can read that page, with or without an account, and search engines index it. If you would rather not be named, ask us from the Contact page and we take your name off the page; a ChatShow we fund ourselves is credited to ChatShow Ai.

A comment you post may be shown beside the ChatShow under your username for as long as the ChatShow is on the site. The AI heads and the chair are our characters: drawn animals with made-up names and voices, each powered by a model from a different maker. No ChatShow impersonates a real person's voice.

You may use what we provide for your own purposes, including publishing a ChatShow elsewhere, provided you leave it clear that it was generated by ChatShow Ai, do not remove the marks the recording and its text carry that say so, and do not present the heads' words as a real person's. Where you publish it, you are its publisher, and what is done with it there is between you and the people who hear it there. Do not use the site, its characters or its voices to build a competing service.

8. Reports and reviews

Any member can report a ChatShow, a turn of its transcript or a comment from the page it is on, choosing one of 8 categories and saying what is wrong in up to 500 characters. A report is used for one purpose: to have a person look at the content and decide whether it breaks these terms or the law. It is not shared with the person whose content it is, and it is not published.

A report is also how you tell us a ChatShow fell short: off the question, thin, wrong in a way the fact desk missed, or not what you hoped for. Choose "Other" and say what disappointed you. A report like that does not hold or remove the ChatShow.

What to expect:

  • You get a reference at once, and the report is looked at by a person within 2 working days. A report in the "Danger to someone" category holds the ChatShow at once and is looked at first.
  • While a report is open the content normally stays up. Two exceptions: a Danger report holds a ChatShow immediately, and 3 open reports from 3 different accounts hold it until a person has looked. A held ChatShow is seen by its owner and by us alone.
  • The review ends in one of three ways: the content is released and the page carries a line saying it was reviewed and no action taken; it is held while we look further; or it is removed. A removed ChatShow is gone from every listing and cannot be played. You are told the outcome by email under your reference.
  • We may also mute or remove a single turn of a ChatShow, or a single comment, and leave the rest in place.
  • The owner of removed content is told why and can write to us within seven days to appeal, giving the reference. After seven days the content is permanently deleted.

Reports are limited to a few an hour per account, and a report made to harass someone or to game the site is itself a breach of these terms.

9. Availability and our responsibility to you

We aim to keep ChatShow running, but it depends on AI, voice and payment providers we do not control, and a ChatShow can fail part-way. When that happens the credits for what it did not deliver are returned, as section 5 says. We may change, pause or withdraw parts of the service, and we will give reasonable notice of anything that affects what you have paid for.

We are responsible for loss that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care, and for anything the law does not let us limit, including death or personal injury caused by our negligence, and fraud. Beyond that we are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable, or for business losses, since ChatShow is for personal use. A ChatShow is generated by AI and is not advice, as section 2 says, and the checks we run around it are there to inform you, not to decide for you: we are not responsible for loss or harm that comes from relying on or acting on what a ChatShow says, or from what you or anyone else does with a ChatShow once it has been shared. This is a limit on our responsibility, not a denial of it. It never reaches the responsibility the law says we keep, and nothing in these terms takes away your rights as a consumer.

10. Your personal information

We use your email address, your username and what you do on the site to run your account, take payments, send you the emails the service needs and keep the site safe. We do not sell it. What we hold, who processes it for us, how long we keep it and your rights over it are in our Privacy Notice. Write to us from the Contact page with any question about your information, including to see it or have it deleted.

11. Changes to these terms

We may change these terms. A change that matters to you is announced on the site, or by email if you have an account, before it takes effect, and the date at the top changes with it. If you keep using ChatShow after a change takes effect you accept it; if you do not accept it, close your account; a pack bought in the last 14 days and still untouched is refunded as section 5 says.

12. Which law applies

These terms, and any dispute about them or about ChatShow, are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may also bring a claim in your own courts. Nothing in these terms limits the rights the law of the United Kingdom gives you as a consumer, and where these terms and that law differ, the law prevails. If any part of these terms is found invalid, the rest stands.

If you have a complaint, write to us first from the Contact page; most things are settled that way. If we cannot settle it, the courts above remain open to you.
